Sigillata A
Pale orange fine-grained fabric; dark
red-brick slip covering entire surface. Rounded sides; nearly horizontal
wide rim with four grooves. Wide short foot, flat bottom. Pair of
horizontal trapezoidal handles, flanked by volutes. Perimeter and
handles decorated with round notches, forming grape bunches and
rosettes. Embossed central medallion depicting Helios in a quadruple
chariot, enclosed in triple grooved and notched border.
Intact. Lime deposit, multiple root marks.
