951   NEOLITHIC JAR          EASTERN EUROPE          LATE IV MILLENNIUM B.C. Hand-modeled, orange-cream clay, brown wash. Biconical body  with small base, large mouth and flaring horizontal rim. Two small handles formed by depression and perforation of the wall. Painted in brown: widely spaced strokes on the interior rim; handles framed by arcs in vertical and horizontal directions; the panel in between them with opposed arcs and 4 large dots in each corner; band of double line below. Cracked, but intact. H. 4.3" (10.9 cm), D. 5.8" (14.7 cm). SOLD

958   NEOLITHIC JAR          EASTERN EUROPE          LATE IV MILLENNIUM B.C. Hand-modeled, light cream clay, red wash. Wide biconical body with small flat bottom and flaring rim.  Three zones of painted ornament in red/brown separated by horizontal lines. The upper zone: horizontal lines between vertical dividers. The middle zone is covered  by spirals with concentric centers,  and triangles with "eyes". The lower zone is a horizontal band with spaced "lenses". Restored. 949   NEOLITHIC BOWL          EASTERN EUROPE          LATE IV MILLENNIUM B.C. Hand-modeled, light cream clay, red wash. Carinated bowl with thick walls, rounded base and broad rim. The interior is half-globular. Horizontal band of six narrow stripes in brown above carination; waved band on rim. Mended. H. 3.3" (8.4 cm), D. 7.7" (19.6 cm). SOLD

952   NEOLITHIC JAR          EASTERN EUROPE          LATE IV MILLENNIUM B.C. Hand-modeled, cream-grey clay, brown wash. Biconical body  with small base, long hyperbolic neck. Painted in brown: double horizontal band with "lenses"; triple vertical stripes flanking horizontal strokes divide body into two panels, filled with fine horizontal lines and triangles at the corners. Restored. H. 4.8" (12.2 cm), D. 5.2" (13.2 cm). SOLD

948   EARLY BRONZE AGE CUP          EASTERN EUROPE          XXV-XXI c. B.C. Hand-modeled, cream-orange fabric with coarse-grained texture and multiple inclusions. Rounded body with broad mouth, short rim and conical bottom. The interior and exterior surfaces are "combed". Band of impressed  short lines below rim. The inner surface is black/grey. Intact. Comes with custom made solid brass tripod stand. H. 5.1" (13 cm), D. 6" (15.2 cm). SOLD

266   EARLY BRONZE AGE          CERAMIC INCENSE BURNER          EASTERN EUROPE          XXI-XVII c. B.C. Hand-modeled, grey fabric with coarse-grained texture and multiple inclusions. The incense burner in the form of a shallow dish on a four-leg base with interior divider. The exterior is impressed with radial cord-lines and stamped concentric circles  in between. Intact. H. 2.5" (6.4 cm), D. 6.5" (16.5 cm). SOLD

Conical body with broad flat bottom, rounded shoulder, broad mouth and small rim. The entire surface is impressed with numerous stamps, repeatedly used alone and in combinations to form bands of different patterns, separated by cord impression. The inner surface is black/grey. Mended. H. 6.2" (15.7 cm), D. 8.1" (20.6 cm). SOLD

Conical body with flat bottom, rounded shoulder, broad mouth and vertical neck. The entire surface is impressed with numerous stamps, repeatedly used alone and in combinations to form bands of different patterns, separated by cord impression. The inner surface is black/grey. Multiple cracks, but intact.  H. 7.6" (19.3 cm), D. 7.5" (19.1 cm). SOLD

Numerous bands of impressed  lines: vertical impressed short lines framed by horizontal lines. Entire base is decorated with incised spiral. Restored. H. 2.9" (7.4 cm), D. 4.3" (10.9 cm). SOLD

955   NEOLITHIC / EARLY BRONZE AGE CUP          EASTERN EUROPE          XVI-XII c. B.C. Hand-modeled, orange fabric with coarse-grained texture and multiple inclusions. Rounded body with broad mouth, vertical rim and conical bottom. Numerous bands of impressed  marks and dashes: cord impression at rim; incised  dots below; woven pattern; vertical impressed lines and half-hexagon band. Small fragment of rim is mended, otherwise intact. Comes with custom made solid brass tripod stand. H. 2.6" (6.6 cm), D. 3.4" (8.6 cm). SOLD
